Craggy Range Sauvignon Blanc Te Muna Road Vineyard 2019

Martinborough, Wairarapa, North Island, New ZealandA wet start followed by a warm, dry maturation season has many in New Zealand lauding the 2019 vintage, and it's evident in the Te Muna Road Sauvignon Blanc from Martinborough. It's a pure expression of sauvignon, and unlike most of its competitors, the mid-palate and finish of this wine take it to another level. I love the mineral, wet-stone attack and creamy mid-palate textures, but it's the intensity of tropical fruit and lime that carry the day. Stylish with no bitter, herbaceous notes, it can change the way you think about Kiwi sauvignon blanc. Te Muna Road Vineyard consists of two distinct soil types. The sauvignon grows on a lower terrace stony soils sprinkled with limestone. Ready to drink but will age two or three years effortlesslyTasted: 11 January 2021Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
