East Kelowna, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe fruit is a mix of French Dijon clones 114, 777, 828 from the biodynamically farmed home estate in East Kelowna. It all native fermented and aged in larger French oak barrels, with a small amount of new oak. 2018 opens with a light red/amber colour with a touch of brown at the edge. The nose is an earthy, spicy cherry affair with a touch of barnyard. Most of that initial profile spills onto the palate with a touch of raspberry and dried herbs and lightly grippy tannins, normal at this young age. A bit of an old-fashioned view that charms rather than overwhelms.Tasted: 19 November 2020Tasted by: Prices: BC 35.00 winery direct, private wine shops

East Kelowna, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom the Sperling family's East Kelowna biodynamically-farmed estate, these French Dijon clone 114, 777, 828 vines are rooted on calcium limestone soils. This was 40% whole cluster and native fermented, then rested in larger French oak barrels, with a small percentage of new wood. This pours a light crimson brown hue, with gently spiced cherry, raspberry, and baked rhubarb on a slender palate. Tannins are fine and lightly sticky, guiding this to a lingering finish. A charmer.Tasted: 18 December 2020Tasted by: Prices: BC 35.00 winery direct, private wine shops
