Covert Farms Pinot Noir Grand Reserve

Covert Farms Pinot Noir Grand Reserve 2018

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom 19-year-old vines in Mimi's Block, at 420m on Covert Farms' organic McIntyre Bluff estate, this aged 21 months in French oak. This opens with ample wood spices, swirling over-browning, oxidative fruit. Dried leather, faint rubber, some stunted black cherry, and cedar spicing waves finish warm, with a note of Worcestershire and sticky tannins. This wine needs a rework.Tasted: 23 December 2020Tasted by: Treve Ring & Anthony GismondiPrices: BC 40.80 winery online/direct, select private retailers, restaurants Producer: Covert Farms Family EstateDistributors: BCWineshop
