Therapy Pinot Noir

Therapy Pinot Noir 2018

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaWinemaker Jacq Kemp has done an admirable job pulling Therapy Vineyards into the future, first in the vineyards and now in the bottle. In 2018 her pinot noir opens with an intense, vibrant, cool climate aroma featuring fresh red fruits with a floral underbelly. On the palate, more fresh raspberry, cranberry, rhubarb notes with a dry, spicy finish. A hardly noticeable 46 percent new oak fills out the final picture of a well balanced, medium weight pinot that hails from Naramata Bench and a Summerland vineyard across the lake. The winemaking includes a ten day cold soak, and fermentation in small batch fermenters. The small fermenters allowed the pinot noir to be pushed and pulled in different directions, aiding in this wine's overall complexities. Once fermented and pressed, the wine rested in French oak barrels.
