Mission Hill Terroir Collection Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom Jagged Rock Vineyard on the Black Sage Bench, this is in a stunning location perched at 1400 feet within the Okanagan Highland foothills. Grapes like a view, or so the adage goes, and it's hard to disagree when you taste this wine. Okanagan cabernet sauvignon can be a mixed bag, but when it's done well, it's excellent. Try this if you think otherwise. There's a surprising amount of ripeness here for only 13% abv, and it easily manages to soak up the 40% new French oak. It's muscular and structured, with intense, dense tannins, so get out the grill if you're opening this anytime soon. Otherwise, tuck it away for 5-7 years.Tasted: 19 September 2020Tasted by: Prices:
