Mission Hill Terroir Collection Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaJagged Rock Vineyard, surrounded by steep rocky cliffs at 1400 feet elevation, is home to this south Okanagan cabernet. Warm, scrubby desert soils are more than a match for this savoury, smoky red that seemed to thrive in what is a cooler vintage. A mix of clones 191 and 337 have produced a refined, cool, blue fruit and brambleberry nose and palate followed by spice and vanilla. The wine is youthful and bright with amazing texture, thanks to dense but sweet, round tannins. There is no rush to open this bottle that was aged 17 months in French oak.Tasted: 19 September 2020Tasted by: Prices:
