Ferdinand Albariño 2019

Lodi, Central Valley, California, United StatesThe grapes for Ferdinand’s Albariño come from Marcus Bokisch’s breezy Vista Luna Vineyard in Lodi, and its cobbled, rocky soils. The grapes were gently whole cluster pressed and barrelled down to neutral barrels where it was native fermented, with no MLF. The wine remained there for 8 months on lees, with no stirring. Direct and pure, with peach, pear, and light honeyed nuttiness packed into a juicy, compact package. There's a fine vein of salinity that draws you to the spiced finish.Tasted: 03 September 2020Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
