Visintini Friulano 2018

Friuli-Venezia Giulia, ItalyThe Visintini estate, once the location for the Castle of Gramogliano, has been in the family since 1884, and has a history dating back to 1290. Located on the hills south of the DOC Friuli Colli Orientali area, this estate rests on the border with DOC Collio, and alongside the provinces of Udine and Gorizia. In 2002, the company passed to heirs and siblings Oliviero, Cinzia, and Palmira, who farm and produce all the wines biodynamically. This friulano was done entirely in stainless, to preserve freshness. Bright green and yellow apple, almond and marzipan, hawthorne and chamomile pack a juicy, svelte palate, finishing with some hedgerow and a hum of warming spice. A full, yet fresh, white that would be a natural with white fish or spring risottos.Tasted: 05 September 2020Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
