Le Vieux Pin Le Verger 2018

Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis used to be known as Airfield Syrah, due to the vineyard's slightly elevated location on a small bench underneath the Osoyoos airport. Le Verger translates as the orchard. This is one of three small lot (50 case) single vineyard syrah releases in 2018. Entirely 877 clone, on loamy sand and granite, this aged for 19 months in used French barrique. Dusky violet, sultry cassis, desert scrub, and an ample infiltration of peppercorns is imprinted into this Southern Okanagan syrah. Confident and well-knit now, this will continue to grow with cellaring.Tasted: 26 August 2020Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
