Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAva is named after winemaker Severine Pinte's daughter. In 2019 the mix was 51% viognier, 37% rousanne, 12% marsanne. The nose is a floral affair with white flowers, orange blossoms, and summer orchard. The attack is juicy with apricot and peach, and a light dusting of citrus and licorice on the palate. Youthful and lively, but this will undoubtedly grow into itself as it ages to become a serious white wine. A good example of how diverse BC wine should be.Tasted: 11 December 2020Tasted by: Prices: BC 35.99 winery online/direct, select private retailers, restaurants

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaUnreleased, and just bottled in June 2020, this was an early peek at the next Ava, named after Sev's daughter. This vintage was 51% viognier, 37% rousanne, 12% marsanne, in a super floral blend, with viognier's exuberance at the core. Anise, apricot, fleshy peach and a fine white floral perfume stream throughout to the finish. A showier style, very well handled. Makes a very interesting partner to the 2018 Ava, which was roussanne driven. Looking forward to retasting in a couple of months.Tasted: 26 August 2020Tasted by: Prices: BC 35.99 winery online/direct, select private retailers, restaurants
