Foxly Rosé 2019

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA wet, cool end to the growing season and increasing bird pressure finished off a year of low yields, brightened by the debut of F Foxly Rosé, produced primarily from skin contact pinot gris sourced from several sites in both the Okanagan and Similkameen Valley. The final colour, light salmon, orange/pink, was tweaked with a splash of Zweigelt. All the components are fermented separately to dryness and aged in stainless steel through winter before the blend was put together and aged further until May. The nose is a pleasant mix of blood orange and peach that spills across a palate into peaches, strawberries, watermelon, and a mineral underside. Creamy but crisp, this is fun to drink and takes me more toward the Provençal style. Ready to drink.Tasted: 18 August 2020Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
