CedarCreek Platinum Clone 115 Pinot Noir 2018

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaClone 115 is one of three separate single clone pinot noir releases from CedarCreek this vintage that provide a window into the differences between the trio of French Dijon clones 777, 667, and 115. All three are growing on the silty loamy soils of CedarCreek, high above Okanagan Lake inside the Home Block Vineyard. They were all fermented and aged similarly, making comparison an interesting prospect. The 115 presents entirely differently from the more boisterous 777. It has a much more elegant demeanour with more red fruit, a little brighter acidity, and very silky textures. It is attractive, to say the least. Salmon seems like the go to match here, or perhaps a favourite cauliflower soup recipe.Tasted: 14 August 2020Tasted by: Prices:
