Bonnet Huteau Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur Lie Les Bonnets Blancs 2019

Muscadet, Pays Nantais, Loire, FranceDomaine Bonnet-Huteau, nestled in La Chapelle-Heulin, in the heart of Muscadet’s Sèvre et Maine appellation, has been producing Muscadet for over 150 years. Today it is run by the Bonnet brothers, Jean-Jacques and Rémi. This 42 hectare vineyard has been certified organic since 2005, and uses biodynamic philosophies. From 15-30 year old vines from La Tarcière’s limestone over gneiss comes this fresh, bright, and sleek Muscadet. After a slow native ferment, this spent 6 months on lees. Fine and precise, with wet stone, lemon, subtle white peach and light notes of hay, this pure-fruited wine sings with minerality through the very saline finish.Tasted: 11 August 2020Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
