Golden Mile Bench, Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom ungrafted vines planted in 1973 at South Rock Vineyard on the Golden Mile Bench, this had six days of skin contact before fermentation in stainless steel. It’s all about perfumed, floral aromatics, with restrained fruit ripeness at 12.5% abv. The result is a fresher style of gewürztraminer, buoyed by a subtle effervescence, that just finishes off-dry with 8 g/L residual sugar.
