Le Petit Chat Malin Rosé 2019

Ventoux, Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceI'm always amazed how a wine like this gets fumbled around in BC retail when it has been pretty impressive for the price since that day it arrived more than a decade ago. From its eye of the partridge colour to its fresh, floral strawberry and citrus nose, this is a delight to sip all afternoon and evening on a sunny patio. It was made by the rosé de presse method, where the grapes are not macerated on their skins but instead go immediately to the press to extract only the most delicate of aromas and flavours. Following alcoholic fermentation, only the best cuves make it to bottle. The result is a Provence-style dry rosé, full of juicy strawberry, raspberry with a twist of garrigue spicing. Pair with tomato and cheese pasta dishes, crab, pork, or chicken. Back up the truck, they are giving it away.Tasted: 13 June 2020Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
