Spearhead Pinot Noir GFV Saddle Block 2018

East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe fruit is sourced from Spearhead's estate Saddle Block, in South East Kelowna. It is a wide mix of pinot clones, including 115, 777, 828 and 667. It is hand harvested, cold soaked for 5-7 days before a natural ferment, 16 to 21 days long, and a 13 month maturation in French oak barrels, of which 25 percent is new. The nose is savoury, and the attack cool forest floor scented and spicy. On the palate, sour cherries mix with floral, mineral, and white pepper notes with a herbal finish. Textures are soft, and the style is one that is ready to drink with root vegetables, duck, or salmon.Tasted: 02 May 2020Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
