Orofino Hendsbee Vineyard Riesling Clone 21B 2018
Cawston, Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaOne of two single vineyard clone riesling from Cawston Bench's Hendsbee Vineyard this vintage, this is entirely 21B, hailing from the Mosel, but certainly feels at home in the stony, sloping Similkameen. Planted in 2006, and 2008, this is rooted in sandy loam, calcium carbonate laced soils, over deep gravels. This sweeter riesling is threaded with a savoury line that runs the streamlined palate, pulling along sweet lime, pear skin, river stones, and lime peel to a lingering, shimmery finish.
