Kitsch Chardonnay 2018
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaClone 95, planted on their estate in 2013, makes up this 2018 chardonnay. After a whole cluster press, this was partially native fermented in a mix of stainless (80%) and neutral French oak, with 75 days of lees contact before bottling. Light lemon, cream, green apple crispness, on a fresh, bright palate. There's a lovely fine savoury anise line in the lees, before a crisp finish. Building on last year's star turn, this wine is moving into serious chardy contention. As you'll notice by the capsule, this wine is a collab between Kitch and clothing company Tentree.
