Mission Hill Reserve Pinot Gris 2019
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom estate vineyards on Black Sage Road and Naramata Ranch, this was primarily fermented in stainless, with 11% fermented in French oak (2% new). The balance is nailed this year, with orchard fruit nicely offset by a firm but neutral wood structure, and atop a fine but comfortable bed of lees. There's a seasoning of desert sagebrush and anise that lingers on the finish. Bright, fresh, full of typicity, but not dumbed down. Well done.Tasted: 15 April 2020Tasted by: Prices:BC | $21.99 | 750ml | winery direct, private wine shops |
