Henschke Henry's Seven 2017

Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaHenry's Seven opens with a rich, warm face reminiscent of the Rhone Valley meets Barossa. Shiraz is the lead grape at 73 percent (cofermented with 5 percent viognier), blended with 17 percent grenache, and 5 percent mataro. The nose is spicy and ripe with a red fruit bent (plums and red currants) while on the palate you find raspberries and boysenberries streaked with a swirl of milk chocolate. The tannins are moderate and silky throughout the long finish. Lamb chops are an excellent match.Tasted: 01 April 2020Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
