CedarCreek Platinum Block 2 Pinot Noir 2017

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom the lower blocks of their clay-soiled vineyard in Kelowna, and clone 225 from 27 year old vines, this was native fermented over 4 weeks in concrete before moving to French oak for one year, prior to bottling without fining or filtration. Wild plum, cherry is striated with dusty stones and gravels, and subtle cinnamon spicing, based by a layer of clay. Tannins are taut and lightly grippy, hugging this to a spiced finish. Drinking well now with pork or wild mushrooms, and will easily last a couple of years in the cellar.Tasted: 30 April 2020Tasted by: Treve RingPrices: BC 54.99 winery direct Producer: CedarCreek Estate WineryDistributors: Mark Anthony Wines and Spirits
