Chardonnay is often just as much about the fruit as it is the winemaking, and that's certainly the case here with bright citrus fruits and white flowers from 11-28-year-old vines, alongside restrained, refined winemaking. It's easy to guess what's bolstering this wine's complexity: a 100 percent wild fermentation, partial malolactic fermentation, and a combination of new and older barriques, puncheons, foudre, and stainless steel. The result is a beautiful expression of chardonnay that is seamlessly balanced and harmonious.
