Quails' Gate Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaCab sauv growing in cool climate West Kelowna? Would have been nutters to think of just 10 years ago. But the majority of this ripe, dense blend comes from Quails’ Gate’s estate Boucherie Mt vineyards, with the remaining third from a grower in the South Okanagan. The whole was aged 20 months in French oak (40% new). Thick cassis, blackberry is seasoned with smoke and bound by toasted cedar, finishing with a hard press, bitter cherry finish. Overt and up front, this is best taken with beef, lamb, or roast pork, as intended.Tasted: 07 March 2020Tasted by: Prices:
