Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe front label does not reflect the exact origin of this fruit, but Hidden Valley Vineyard, just south of the winery and north of the main road that runs the length if the Naramata Bench is home to this tasty syrah. It’s not 2016, but it remains an excellent red. There is more of a soupy, slurry texture (all in a good way) this year with those juicy, meaty, licorice, peppery flavours that persist well into the finish and beyond. A mid-valley, BC/Euro style for intelligent drinkers. Good value too.
