Carpineto Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva 2015
Tuscany, ItalyFrom 90% sangiovese and 10% canaiolo, this Riserva aged two years in 5500L Slavonian oval oak barrels, with a small part in French oak. After bottling, it was held for one year before release. Wild cassis, black plum, black cherry, dusky violets is gripped with firm tannins and seasoned with ample peppercorns along a grippy palate. The finish lingers with candlewax and wood spicing.
