Rodney Strong Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
Knights Valley, Sonoma County, California, United StatesLike last year I am attracted to the fragrant nose and juicy, soft attack of this wine, reminding one of that in-between Napa and Sonoma character, and texture of Knights Valley reds. It is the easternmost appellation in Sonoma County and the county’s warmest viticultural region. Grapes have been growing here since the 1800s. Look for the scent of freshly crushed black fruits mixed with hints of spice and chocolate. The mid-palate is lengthy and warm with rich, dense, soft tannins that add structure to the plummy fruit. The mineral-rich volcanic soils add another dimension to the long, smooth finish.Tasted: 20 January 2020Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $39.99 | 750ml | estimated pricing |
