Château Fuissé Saint-Véran 2016

Saint Véran, Mâconnais, Burgundy, FranceThe Vincent family has overseen southern Bourgogne's Château Fuissé for five generations, since 1862. They own more than 40 hectares spanning five appellations, including 8 in Saint-Véran. It was fermented and aged in stainless. Overtly creamy throughout, mingling with white florals, light pear, lemon curd and some swings of verbena and veering towards sour lemon on the finish. Not overly complex or acid-driven, this is a moderate, gentle style of Maconnais, proper for current drinking. It is sealed with a Nomacorc Green cork made of bamboo.Tasted: 19 January 2020Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
