Marcel Deiss Alsace Rouge 2018
Alsace, FranceThis certified organic and biodynamic estate pinot noir comes from Alsace's Bergheim, St Hippolyte, and Beblenheim terroirs, and their mix of limestone, flint, gravel and granite soils. After destemming, gentle maceration, and a native ferment, this continued to age one year in tank and barrel. Juicy dark raspberry, black cherry, tobacco, forest plum is etched with dark, fine, but grippy structural tannins, housing the medium palate to a very mineral-laden finish. Fresh, dark, and a little wild, this is a lovely take on pinot.Tasted: 19 December 2019Tasted by: Prices:ON | $37.95 | 750ml | consignment |
