Pauillac, Haut-Médoc, Médoc, Bordeaux, FranceThe J-M Cazes wines can be considered the third label of Pauillac powerhouse Château Lynch-Bages, and a claret meant for drinking now while you squirrel the other wines away. The property can trace its history back to the 16th Century, though it was renovated and modernized by the Cazes family in the 1990s. Jean-Michel Cazes' family has owned Lynch-Bages for decades now, so he's well-practiced in all things Bx. It is a cab sauv led Bx blend with dark cherry, plum, blackberry ruling. This simple Pauillac is striated with graphite, sided by smoothed tannins, and finishing short and tight.
