Antinori Badia A Passignano Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 2016

Tuscany, ItalyChianti Classico should always make your mouth water as it hits the palate and then it should satisfy that craving. Check both of these requests in the form of 2016 that also carries the latest DOCG designation of Gran Selezione. It was a mostly benevolent growing season, and the picking began between the end of September and the first few days of October. This sangiovese was grown at Badia Passignano at an altitude of 300 meters on limestone-rich soil mixed with clay. The nose is an enticing mix of fresh cherries, plums, and chocolate. The attack is similar, with more red fruit and super supple textures flecked with licorice and earthy, savoury undertones. Very Tuscan and an excellent candidate for cellaring five to seven more years.Tasted: 24 November 2019Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
