M. Chapoutier Belleruche Côtes du Rhône Blanc 2017

Côtes du Rhône, Rhone Valley, FranceGrenache blanc, roussanne, viognier, clairette and bourboulenc fill the voluminous palate of this Cotes du Rhone blend, sourced mainly from stony-marl soils and clay-limestone slopes. A ferment and short 5 month stint in stainless help preserve freshness, which is welcome. Concentrated and heady orange blossoms, fragrant iris, fleshy pear, ripe apricot fill the voluptuous palate, one that ends with a snappy bitter lime (hello bourboulenc) twist. Lovely weight and mouthfeel, while holding freshness.Tasted: 24 September 2019Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
