Heartland Stickleback Red 2015
South Australia, AustraliaFrom winemaker Ben Glaetzer, this entry-level blend is 74 percent cabernet sauvignon, 24 percent shiraz, and 2 percent lagrein, aged for 12 months in French and American oak. It's a relatively fresh, easy drinking style of red, and heavy on cabernet character with sweet herbs and fresh red currant. Not overly complex or meant for serious contemplation, it's a solid Tuesday night pour. At four years of age, it’s just beginning to show some tertiary influence.
