Jean-Paul Brun Terres Dorées Beaujolais Blanc 2016

Beaujolais, Burgundy, FranceTerres Dorées is land of the golden (clay-limestone) slopes, and where leading Beaujolais non-interventionist elder statesman, Jean-Paul Brun, owns 39ha. He makes two Bojo Blancs: this wood-rested one, and another completely inox wine. This low intervention wine is native fermented in older barrels, with regular battonage. Creamy and mineral-rich, the long palate draws lemon, honeysuckle, stones, green apple to a gently spiced finish. Lovely structure, balanced by moderate acidity, and potent fruit, this is drinking well now, and will continue to over the next few years.Tasted: 07 August 2019Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
