Tightrope Winery Viognier 2017
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis wine is sourced from the Naramata Bench. An incredibly reductive nose needs a lot of time to blow off. Once it does, there is some lovely stone fruit and a touch of oak, from ageing in a combination of French oak, acacia, and stainless steel barrels for eight months. You’d almost think this was chardonnay instead of viognier, with its linear texture and tart acidity.
