Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis BC icon is very vintage dependant, as it should be. In 2018, it's Gew dominant, followed by riesling, pinot puxerrois, pinot blanc, and muscat, and sourced from vineyards from Kelowna to Skaha Bench (top half of the valley). Each variety was vinified and rested separately in stainless before the final blend was made. Strewn with meadow herbs, tight pear, green apple, lime, grapefruit, fragrant elderflower and soap bubbles, the medium bodied palate is snappy with acidity, holding off the 4 g/l RS padding the mid. There's a slight watery core, which is beneficial when you're dealing with such intense grapes. The finish lingers with a dusting of ginger spice, warming the back of the palate. Youthful still, and blessedly under screw cap, so will keep this freshness for a while.Tasted: 03 September 2019Tasted by: Prices:

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaNoble Blend was always pleasant, but a lot of sweetish white blends are. In 2017 the style shifted a bit and in 2018 we see a much more interesting electric white wine that is better suited to food. It’s still based on the Alsace classic whites of Edelzwicker, or Gentil. I love the freshness, the lime leaf, pure pear and spice that sits on the nose of this gewürztraminer, riesling, pinot blanc, pinot auxerrois and muscat blend. As good as the aromatics are, the juicy palate with its drier sheen and peppery finish is just so much more fun. Less cloying, more dramatic. Perfect for mussels, clams or fish tacos.Tasted: 17 July 2019Tasted by: Prices:
