Cabernet Sauvignon is kind of a misnomer here, since only 79% of the blend is cab sauv, with the remainder flushed out with merlot, and petit verdot, and 2% 'other'. Dusty black fruit, sweet plum, candied cherry and violet candies run the short, wide palate to a bitter, warming finish.
