Tightrope Winery Riesling 2017

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe estate-grown grapes are picked in two lots, one week apart, to select the bunches for optimal ripeness. The nose is a mix of honey, green apples and pear with a touch of petrol. The attack is tart early on with an intense nectarine and pink grapefruit palate and a fresh, tart finish. I love the minerality here, and although it may be a bit stark for some, I see endless food possibilities and long life in bottle. Halibut, fish cakes, fish tacos, sushi: they all work here. The fruit qualifies for the new Naramata sub-appellation.Tasted: 26 June 2019Tasted by: Prices:
