Matanzas Creek Sauvignon Blanc 2017
Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, California, United StatesMost of this iconic sauvignon is fermented for two to three weeks in stainless steel; 20 percent is fermented in neutral oak barrels. The nose is an enticing mix of green fruits. with guava and nectarine. There is a touch of sémillon (grass) and a musqué clone (floral) in the mix, but overall this is a dry, crisp, and perfectly bitter sauvignon blanc that offers complexity and length. The fruit comes off as many as 38-plus blocks each individually harvested, fermented and kept separate for the tasting table. Predictably good, year in and year out.Tasted: 24 June 2019Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $33.99 | 750ml | Everything Wine |
