Alentejo, Central and Southern Portugal, PortugalThis deeply hued, lusty rose is a blend of aragonez and touriga nacional, from Portugal's Alentejano region. It's named Fado, for the Portuguese music that permeates the culture. Raspberry, tayberry and a sprinkle of dusty spice fills the medium plump pink, nearly bone dry, and with a lovely swell of juicy acidity to brighten.
