Cháteau Peyros Madiran Tannat Cabernet Franc 2013

Madiran, Sud-Ouest, FranceThis blend of tannat and cabernet franc comes from southern-facing slopes in the Haut Béarn region, in the heart of the Vic Bilh, or 'old country' in local dialect. The soil here is a conglomerate of rolled pebbles and clay, known as pouzzolanes. This is a rustic edged, savoury red with leather, gravels, brambled fruit along a drying palate, lined with cedar bough tannins. Best taken with roasted root veg or sausages.Tasted: 28 June 2019Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
