CedarCreek Platinum Block 1 Pinot Noir Rosé 2018

East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaBoth Treve and I agree on the pedigree of this wine that is fast becoming one of the most elegant rosés made in North America. The fruit is all estate grown, harvested from the Home Block, Block 1. Winemaker Taylor Whelan makes two passes to get the juicy, flavourful pink to be all that it can be. It’s partially native fermented in neutral oak after a short one hour of skin contact. Three months on the lees, attention folks three months on the lees, builds creamy textures that are as light as pillows. Look for spicy, wild strawberries and Bing cherry with a squeeze of tangerine tempered with a savoury, sagebrush, northern Okanagan undercurrent. Exciting stuff and capable of matching a variety of summer foods. Not cheap but worth every penny.Tasted: 24 June 2019Tasted by: Prices:
