Tantalus Den's Block Old Vines Riesling 2016

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis is the inaugural release of Den's Riesling, a tribute to a longtime farmer and viticulturist Daniel Martin Dulik, known by all as Den. Den owned and operated Pioneer Vineyards for several decades, on the site where Tantalus now rests. Den passed in 2016, and this special release riesling is a tribute to him. Medium sweet, with lushly ripe pear, white peach, roasted pineapple, lime curd and a rivlet of juicy acidity on the palate to a lengthy, lime pith finish. This is a style departure for Tantalus, with an RS of 49.5 g/L, but still feels firmly in the family. A lovely tribute.Tasted: 05 July 2019Tasted by: Prices:
