Jean-Luc Colombo Cornas Les Terres Brulées 2016

Cornas, Northern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceThis cuvée, Terres Brûlées, or burnt earth, is a nod to the origin of the village Cornas. The Cornas appellation, created in 1938, remains one of the spiritual homes of syrah. The Jean-Luc Colombo blend involves twenty separate blocks of vines and sets itself apart from the New World with an electric acidity that runs through the entire wine. Floral-scented coffee beans mix with white pepper and red fruit shape this complex red, one that is very food-friendly. A classic Cornas that will age effortlessly for a decade and requires a hardy meal. Impressive.Tasted: 26 May 2019Tasted by: Prices:
