Gérard Bertrand Gris Blanc 2018
Vin de Pays d'Oc, Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceThe Bertrand Gris Blanc ups the summer rosé ante. Dry rosé is where it is at today if you want to be a serious producer of a not so serious wine. Pale pink with a subtle earth tone, the nose is perfectly fruity and vibrant with bits of strawberry, cranberry pink grapefruit pith with a lemon, stony minerality. This grenache gris is sourced mostly from the Tautavel area, between the Mediterranean sea and the Pyrenees mountains some 30 kilometres north to Perpignan. Try this with most any seafood, Mediterranean-style salads, Asian dishes and spicy and stronger flavoured Thai curries or tajines.Tasted: 16 April 2019Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:CND | $22.99 | 750ml | estimated retail price |
