Gérard Bertrand Aigle Royal Chardonnay 2017

Limoux, Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceGerard Bertrand grows very sophisticated chardonnay and pinot noir, all with a hallmark of elegance. The nose and attack are juicy and fresh but suitably refined, mixing toast and lees with peaches soaked in citrus. The creamy notes beguile while the freshness transports you further north in France. This wine always improves in the bottle, so there is no rush to open it. Domaine de l'Aigle is a 47‐hectare estate located in the northernmost part of the Haute Vallée de l'Aude winemaking region, ranging between 250 and 500 metres above sea level. L’Aigle Royal comes off a block of vines, rooted in clay‐limestone soil, that faces south, at the property's highest elevation.Tasted: 23 April 2019Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
