Rodney Strong Chardonnay 2017

Sonoma County, California, United StatesThe regular RS Sonoma Chardonnay is 60 percent barrel fermented and aged for six months in 50/50 French and American oak; the remainder is fermented in stainless steel. The style continues to be tightened up by the chardonnay team, perhaps not as fast as some would like and likely too fast for others, but is now a fresher, cooler fruit style with peach and red apple and a tropical twist of orange and pineapple that slides down easily, finishing with a textured leesy, buttery cream note that is inviting without going over the top.
