Synchromesh Wines Four Shadows Vineyard Riesling 2017
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSynchromesh, and founder / winemaker / powered by riesling inspirer Alan Dickinson, has earned the title as THE riesling producer in Canada, on par with the best anywhere. Four Shadows Vineyard sits on the southern end of the Naramata Bench, facing Penticton. Alan works with two blocks of riesling from the sloping site. The 2017 feels dialled back in framework than the 2016 (less RS here), with Asian pear, tangerine, mandarine and heaps of spice that textures the svelter palate, and skips up the energy and acidity.
