Synchromesh Turtle Rock Farms Tertre Rouge 2015

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaNot the best year for reds, being the hottest ever on record in the Okanagan. Unlike the moderate and long lived 2014, this year clocked in at 14.5 degrees. A 50/50 blend of merlot and cabernet franc from Naramata's Turtle Rock Farms. The cabernet franc was 70 percent whole cluster this year, belying big, deep, thick and plush black fruit and ample ripe tannins. There's a welcome modicum of fresh acidity to counter the intensity, though this giant wine is best suited to giant red meats and drinking now.Tasted: 15 October 2018Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
