Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaTasted again 2 years along, and showing strong. This cabernet franc / merlot blend comes from Naramata's Turtle Rock Farms. The 2016 was packaged under the white label, and is a blend of 66 merlot and 34 cabernet franc, 30 percent of which saw new French barrels for 20 months. The cab franc is entirely whole cluster, as is some of the merlot, giving an herbal backbone and a whole new fresh and brisk dimension to this wine. Wild black cherries, wild blackberries, tight cassis flood a juicy palate, teeming with peppery spices and threaded with liquorice, drawing this to a warming finish.Tasted: 27 August 2020Tasted by: Prices:
