Quails' Gate Syrah The Boswell 2016

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaIris, violets mark this generous, fleshy syrah, dosed amply with downy spices, hallmarked with 2 percent cofermented viognier. Perfumed blueberry, blackberry fill the palate, one with whiffs of liquorice, lavender, black pepper, and hemmed with supple though slender boned tannins. The majority of the fruit comes from the estate vineyard in West Kelowna, with the remainder from Black Sage Bench in Oliver. It was aged in 18 months in French oak. This is one of the most northern planted syrahs in BC.Tasted: 18 October 2018Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
